Central U.S. becomes bullseye for severe weather
This is a period of persistent severe weather, particularly in central parts of the country. Wednesday was no different as severe weather and possible tornadoes caused damage in Temple, Texas. That theme will continue Thursday, with the possibility of tornadoes, large hail and damaging winds across a wide swath from North Dakota to Mississippi. The worst of the storm is expected to hit parts of Nebraska and Kansas.
Atlantic hurricane season forecast to be released soon
NOAA's official forecast for the 2024 Atlantic hurricane season will be released soon. If this trend follows, federal meteorologists expect a very busy season. Make sure you turn on alerts in the FOX Weather App and we'll notify you when numbers are released.
