Tonight: I'm tracking rain and storms heading northeast throughout the evening, allowing for some dry spells overnight. By the end of the night, temperatures will drop into the upper 70s and lower 60s. The wind will be from the south at 5-8 mph.
Tomorrow: I'm tracking a chance (20%) of scattered showers/storms in the late morning and afternoon. Clouds and sunshine are expected in most areas, with afternoon temperatures reaching the mid-80s. Winds will be from the south at 5-10 mph.
Extension: I'm tracking a larger system moving through Missouri Monday morning that will bring more rain to the area. The first round of storms has the potential to eliminate another round of storms in the afternoon, giving central Missouri more time to warm up. Starting Monday afternoon and continuing into Thursday, temperatures will be in the low to mid-90s and dew points will be in the low 70s due to high pressure from the west. This will result in daily heat index values in the 100-105 degree range. If you're going to be out for an extended period of time next week, make sure you have ways to cool down.
