The Chicago area is likely to have another nice day this week.
Temperatures started in the mid-70s on Saturday morning and rose rapidly by mid-afternoon.
Clouds are expected to be light most of Saturday, with only a light breeze of 5 to 10 mph from the south-southeast.
While Saturday will bring typical mid-summer weather, the region could see showers as early as Sunday, with overcast skies and slightly cooler temperatures expected.
From that point on, thunderstorms are still expected to be possible on Monday and Tuesday, with a greater chance of scattered storms affecting the area later in the week.
Although it will be mostly clear on Saturday, cloud cover will increase overnight, with a chance of showers around 2 a.m. Monday.
