LEXINGTON, Ky. (FOX 56) – After much-needed rain on Sunday, the threat of showers and storms continues into the start of the work week.
A few showers and storms are possible Sunday night, mainly at night. Otherwise, it will be mostly cloudy with temperatures in the upper 60s to low 70s.

Scattered showers and storms are possible again on Monday under cloudy skies. High temperatures rise to around 80 degrees.


Some storms can be strong. As a result, the area faces a Level 1 risk for severe weather. Major threats include damaging winds and flash flooding caused by heavy rains.

By mid-week, the weather will get hotter, with a few storms possible in the afternoon and evening.
