Weather Summary:
We are tracking a low cold front on the StormTrack 12 weather center.
High pressure will move eastward and across our area on Sunday. This will bring sunny skies, less humid weather and high temperatures in the mid to upper 80s inland and at the beaches.
StormTrack 12 meteorologists Monday are tracking high pressure moving south and east of our region. The front will stall and be to our southeast over the weekend. High pressure will return over the Gulf Coast states. You may see some clouds, but it should be partly cloudy to mostly sunny to start the week.
The stalled front will begin moving northward on Tuesday and be swept away. A typical trough or wave will develop along the foothills of the leeward side of a mountain range. This setup should bring partly cloudy skies with a slight chance of pop-up or sea breeze showers.
As midweek arrives, high temperatures will persist over the Southeastern United States and bring moisture back into the region. A wave or trough will linger to our west. Wednesday is expected to be cloudy with a chance of scattered thundershowers, especially along the sea breeze.
Thursday's high may move a little further south. The Ohio Valley and mid-Atlantic states will come to a standstill. There will still be some clouds nearby, but there will still be high clouds over the mountains, bringing partly sunny to cloudy conditions. Scattered showers will return.
This weekend is approaching with sunny skies and warm temperatures. The humidity will also increase, making it feel like early August.
Monday through Friday, highs will be in the upper 80s to lower 90s. Sunday night into Friday night, lows will be in the upper 60s to lower 70s.
