ROCHESTER, N.Y. (WROC) — It’s another cloudless day in Rochester to kick off the second half of the weekend. Today will be a copy and paste of what we experienced yesterday, only with warmer highs. Foggy skies will persist for the rest of the day and temperatures will reach the mid-80s and possibly the 90s. By nighttime, skies will remain clear and temperatures will drop into the mid-60s.

As the work week begins in Rochester, foggy skies linger over us. Although the weather remains dry, the clouds will begin to recede on Monday morning. Temperatures will again be in the mid-80s, with a chance of reaching the 90s. Clouds will linger into the evening and night, keeping temperatures down to the low 60s. The dry spell will end on Tuesday, with scattered showers and storms expected over the next eight days. The first round of rain will occur at noon on Tuesday and the second round of rain will occur in the evening. A second round of rain could come with a few storms in the evening. We stay warm on Tuesday with highs reaching 90° again for the third day in a row.

Scattered vs. Isolated Thunderstorms: What’s the Difference?

Wednesday appears to be the wettest day of the week. We're expected to stay dry Wednesday morning, with more storms expected in the afternoon and evening as a cold front passes through. Temperatures won't be quite as warm, with highs only reaching the mid-80s, but it's likely to still feel warm due to the humidity. Rain chances will continue into Thursday and Friday as temperatures climb back into the upper 80s. There is less chance of rain these two days, but the chance of showers and storms remains.

Heading into the first half of the weekend, we'll get some relief from warmth and a chance for rain. Blue skies are expected to return on Saturday, with highs only reaching the mid-80s. Sunday's storms tended to intensify, but were still cooler than the previous week, with temperatures once again only reaching the mid-80s.
