Relatives of three people who drowned in the basement of a Derry coaching center have demanded justice.

Tanya Soni, one of the three UPSC applicants who died due to rain-induced flooding in the basement of a training center in Delhi, had dreamed of becoming a civil servant since her childhood.
Tanya's father Vijay Kumar told PTI that his daughter had been studying at the center for the past month after graduating with a bachelor's degree in political science from a university in the capital.
“Tanya completed her studies in Delhi and was preparing for UPSC there. She had been very interested in cracking UPSC since her childhood,” said Vijay Kumar, who was transporting his daughter's body back to Bihar from Delhi Erbang's hometown.
He said the family was traveling to Lucknow by train when they received the news of Tanya's death.
“After getting information (about Tanya's death), we landed in Nagpur and took a flight to Delhi,” he said.
Kumar said Tanya's body has been handed over to them and “we are on our way to Bihar (where the last rites will be performed)”.
Kumar has been working with the state-run Singareni Collieries Company Ltd (SCCL) in Telangana for the past 25 years. He currently serves as the Deputy General Manager of SCCL and his family is settled in Mancherial.
