Weather Alert Day: Severe storms possible Tuesday
farmers. We have another weather warning for tomorrow. Yes, Jason, you guys have been working hard today. Just piecing it all together for us. Yes. I mean, even some of the storms that we had a while ago, I mean, it was big hail for those storms. This is just the beginning of the whole mess. So you can see the mark behind me. All were hail reports from the storm, some of which dropped more than three inches near Royal. You can look around the mallard, 1.8 inches, and even to the north, we're seeing 1 inch hail. So these storms have weakened significantly. Some of them are completely extinct. Still, heavy rain will continue northeast of Storm Lake, with the possibility of small hail. More storms are moving through Forest City, and they will be more powerful in parts of the western and southwestern parts of the state. So we may have accomplished a little bit, but there's more to do. So going into overnight, it will continue to track that potential. We do have a severe thunderstorm warning. You can see it highlighted in pink here and will be available until midnight tonight. We'll see that as we move into nighttime. If we have any delays. But as it stands, cheerers are continuing to produce, with quite a bit of rain falling over the past 24 hours, with over four inches in some places. These are the totals shown on the radar, but I've had numerous reports from viewers that the numbers exceed this number. So, the heavy rain came again. We’ve learned more about the ways that can lead to more flooding problems. You can see the area highlighted in green here. This is the flood warning we have put in place. From 1 a.m. tomorrow until 7 p.m., we could be talking anywhere from another 2 to 3 inches of rain, and in some places we don't really need that. We've seen enough. You can see these storm tracks continue through the night, so by 3 a.m. the storms are still around Waterloo and there's a line extending all the way to near Council Bluffs. Then, early in the morning, a sturdier line would roll through. Damaging winds with large hail are possible here, and at least an isolated tornado is possible along this line. So we get a little respite here, a little break. That won't last long, though, as we're about to enter the afternoon hours. You can see that by 4 p.m., we had a very strong line that stretched from Fort Dodge Lake, Panorama Area, all the way to Lamoni. This will again face all threats. We may see some strong tornadoes, some very powerful and damaging winds, moving through parts of the state and continuing to move eastward into today. Wednesday, will be a much quieter day, but the rain trackers paint a picture of real rain here. Two and a half to three inches potential could see some places over four inches so your threats tomorrow you've got all the flooding potential potential tornadoes, damaging winds, and large hail, we have a high risk of damage A sex gale is sweeping across the southeastern corner of the state. Winds of 70 to 80 miles per hour are possible. I wouldn't be surprised to see isolated areas with stronger winds than this. So eight day forecast. Our storms will continue throughout the day before a chance for more storms, albeit some severe, develops after Wednesday's cool air of 72
