Also won fans. Very cool to watch. 618 Observing the temperatures is not cool because they are in opposite directions. Exactly. Yes, we put numbers in the temperature too. As for today, especially Tuesday and Wednesday. Plan for high temperatures and humidity for the first half of the week, because over the next three days we're going to feel it in the triple digits. There is also a strong chance of storms and we will start to dry out as we head into the weekend. So you'll want to really pay attention to the forecast for the first half of this week. Let's start by talking about what happened last night. Showers and storms are sweeping across the Northwest. It hasn't decreased much now. So I expect that to continue as it gets closer to the central part of the state. This will definitely be monitored. But in terms of the amount of rainfall that we saw today and yesterday, Marshalltown was at the top of the list with about 3.5 inches of rain in a fairly short period of time. Ottumwa, just two inches away. Even Knoxville is only an inch and a half higher. Boone is about an inch. But even going on. Not too impressive, but still worth noting. About half an inch from the airport. Then about half an inch of Algona. Ames, it rained again last night, just shy of an inch, and that continued through part of yesterday, hour by hour. Talk about storm chances for the rest of the day. This is not a good opportunity. Looking at that cluster again, it's getting closer to central Iowa. But it's not quite there yet. We're going to dry off and get ready for the afternoon. The storm is not expected to persist after 12:00. Then once we get into tonight the clouds will reappear. But more storms are possible Tuesday morning. By this time tomorrow we'll be tracking more showers and thunderstorms. Some of them also have the chance to become powerful enough to hit hard. Again, you're going to want to tune into tomorrow's show as we head into Tuesday afternoon. Showers and storms are still possible. Due to the heat and humidity, it doesn't take much to achieve such intense, even harsh, standards. Therefore, we will be monitoring and keeping an eye on these storms as well. But once we get into Wednesday, we'll see another opportunity, mostly overnight. So on Wednesday afternoon, late afternoon, going into the evening, this is around 10:00. Complex showers and thunderstorms are also accompanied by heat and humidity, which can pack a serious punch. So we're expecting a slight risk of severe weather tomorrow as well. That's a 2-in-5 chance for north-central and southeastern Iowa. and what we are looking for. Are strong winds (mostly isolated), large hail, or even a tornado threat possible? It's unlikely, but we can't rule it out. Therefore, we are monitoring the threat of severe weather over the coming days. Heat index one. Of course, the other thing that we're looking at is that the high temperatures that we've been talking about all day are going to be around 100 degrees this afternoon. And then once we get into tomorrow afternoon it's going to feel like deep into the triple digits for half of the state, the north and the northeast, and we'll get a little bit of a break. But going into Wednesday, which is the hottest day, we're expecting temperatures to probably be between 105 and 110 degrees and again when we talk about what it's going to be like with the heat and humidity outside, that's why Tuesday and Wednesday, these are our weather Affected days include showers, storms and heat. But after Thursday morning, we'll hit the climax. Even if we turn it down a little bit, we'll have that 80's treble
