EASTERN PENNSYLVANIA — Pennsylvania is enjoying sunshine Sunday as the chance of storms increases significantly on Memorial Day, according to the National Weather Service.
The latest update from the Meteorological Service on Saturday night said widespread severe weather was possible on Monday, with possible flooding.
Forecasters say a warm, increasingly humid air mass over eastern Pennsylvania will collide with a cold front expected to move into the region on Monday. Thunderstorms are possible Monday morning, with an increased chance of stronger storms including hail and heavy rain throughout the afternoon.

Sunday: There's a chance of light showers before 9 a.m. and a chance of light showers and thunderstorms after 3 p.m. Partly sunny, with a high near 85 degrees. Chance of precipitation is 20%.
Sunday night: Showers and thunderstorms possible, mainly after 8pm. Chance of precipitation is 50%. New rainfall amounts are less than a tenth of an inch, with higher amounts possible during thunderstorms.
Anniversary: Showers and thunderstorms possible, with a chance of showers and thunderstorms after 2 p.m. and mist before 8 a.m., with a high near 77 degrees. Chance of precipitation is 80%. New rainfall amounts between a quarter and a half inch are possible.
Monday night: There is a chance of showers and thunderstorms before 2 a.m., with a chance of light showers and thunderstorms after 2 a.m. Some storms may bring heavy rainfall. Low pressure is about 65 degrees. Chance of precipitation is 80%. New rainfall amounts could range from half an inch to three-quarters of an inch.
