LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WAVE) – A few scattered rounds of thunderstorms are expected today. Today's thunderstorms may bring heavy rain, gusty winds and hail.
Outside of the storm, skies will be mostly cloudy, with afternoon temperatures rising into the mid-80s. A wave of strong storms is moving through the area tonight; some of these thunderstorms could be strong to severe. Lows in the 60s and 70s are expected overnight.
Much of Tuesday will look quiet, hot and humid after a morning group of storms moves out of the area. Tomorrow afternoon, highs will soar into the upper 90s as the heat index jumps to near 100 degrees. A few isolated thunderstorms are possible tomorrow afternoon.
After a cloudy night, additional showers and thunderstorms will develop across the region Tuesday night into Wednesday morning. Lows fell into the 70s again.
