The Delhi High Court on Monday directed yoga guru Baba Ramdev to remove “offensive posts and content” from social media that blame allopathic medicine for hundreds of thousands of deaths during the Covid-19 pandemic while promoting Patanjali’s Koroni as a ‘cure’ for the virus.
The order, issued by Justice Anup Jairam Bhambhani, was in response to an interim injunction petition filed by various doctors' associations in 2021.
“There were instructions to delete some of the offending posts and content. The judge directed the defendant to delete the tweets within three days.
The court further said that if the directive is not followed, Weibo platform X (formerly Twitter) will delete the content.
