In a tragic incident, a 32-year-old widow and her 22-year-old nephew Ravindra Kumar committed suicide in Gonda, Uttar Pradesh on Sunday. The pair jumped in front of a moving train near the Kasowa railway crossing. The woman was reportedly a widow living in the Itisoke area and was in a relationship with her nephew. Although she tried to pursue the relationship, she faced strong opposition from her family.
After being notified, the police rushed to the scene to conduct an autopsy. The case is under investigation and more details are expected to emerge as the investigation continues.
The woman lived with her two young children, a son (8 years old) and a daughter (3 years old), and was in a romantic relationship with her nephew Ravindra. This relationship was strongly opposed by both families. Ravindra's parents had planned for him to marry someone else, but he objected to arranged marriages.
