The clouds are keeping us cooler today than we've been in recent days. The humidity is high enough that it's not too comfortable by any means. We've got enough warmth and humidity mixing in to produce scattered showers and storms over the area. A dotted line may pass through the area at sunset or later.

By Tonight: Scattered showers and storms will sweep across the region starting in the late afternoon in the far west and into the evening elsewhere. Some storms may be briefly severe, with the main risk being isolated damaging winds, along with frequent dangerous lightning and scattered heavy rain. It became sunny and muggy overnight. Some scattered fog may occur, especially where it rains. Lows are around 70 to 75.

Tomorrow (Wednesday): The heat is back. This is the beginning of several consecutive days with temperatures in the 90s or higher. Increase the humidity and it feels more like 100 or higher in the afternoon. Just an isolated storm in the evening under partly clear skies.

here we go again: Missed 90 on most attractions today. It may be some time before we can say that again. Since the city still needs six more days of 90 degrees or above to reach the annual average of 40 degrees, the question now is how far above average we will be before the 90-degree mark ends in the fall.
