A heat wave hit Oklahoma earlier this week!

It feels like the temperature will be over 105 degrees for several days in a row, which is very dangerous.

When you go out to work, be sure to wear sunscreen, stay hydrated, and get enough rest.

What's the weather like on Tuesday?

We will have a warm night with southerly winds. Lows across the state stayed in the 70s.

On Tuesday afternoon, the summer heat returned, and everyone’s heat index was 100+! A few showers are possible across the Panhandle and northwest Oklahoma Tuesday afternoon.

What's the weather like for the rest of the week?

The heatwave continues this week with some scattered rain chances, but most areas will remain dry.

The situation eased later Friday. The arrival of a “less hot” front will drop some humidity but may bring thunderstorms.

    4. If you don't have air conditioning, find a cooling station or public space during the day (such as a library or mall).
    5. Don't limit the use of air conditioning.
    6. If working outdoors, use a buddy system and check on older neighbors.
    7. Keep your phone with you at all times when you are outdoors, including while walking, running errands, doing yard work, or during sports and physical activities.
