INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) — The National Weather Service in Indianapolis is requesting reports of damage from severe storms Monday night across central Indiana.
The NWS Indianapolis put out a call for information Tuesday morning in a post titled “Storm Reports Seeked – Investigation Possible.”
“Several reports of suspected tornadoes have been received, but we are seeking additional information from other parts of the area – any suspected damage, not just possible tornadoes,” the weather office wrote on X.
The weather service said the storm brought heavy rain and “there were isolated reports of possible tornado damage.”
Tornado damage was also suspected near the town of Perkinsville on the Hamilton-Madison county line, and the tornado may hit the area “east-southeast of Newcastle.”
NWS Indianapolis said it focuses on three areas:
- Arcadia/Anderson/New Castle Line
- Southeastern Rush County
- Clay City/Worthington/Bedford Line
