Chicago (WLS) — ABC7 Chicago meteorologists have issued an AccuWeather alert Tuesday night into Wednesday morning as the Chicago area faces the risk of several isolated severe storms.
There is a Category 1 severe storm risk in the area.

ABC7 Chicago Meteorologist Tracy Butler said the best time for storms will be after 7 to 8 p.m. Tuesday night.
Strong winds are the main threat, but heavy rain is also possible, especially between 1am and 6am
Butler said thunderstorms can occur at any time.
A series of fast and violent thunderstorms caused downed trees and power outages last Tuesday night.
