Severe storms likely to hit Southeast region
The wave of severe weather that has hit the U.S. this week is coming to an end, but not before powerful storms hit the Southeast. While Friday's threat is lower than other threats this week, severe storms are expected across a wide swath of the country from Virginia to Alabama.
Tornadoes spin across Midwest
The Fox Weather Storm Tracker captured video of tornadoes tearing through parts of Illinois on Thursday. One of the storms produced what appeared to be twin tornadoes as it moved through a field near the town of Greenfield.

Father and daughter fossils found may be largest prehistoric marine reptiles
An 11-year-old girl and her father were searching for fossils when they discovered a 202-million-year-old jawbone believed to belong to a previously unknown titan from the prehistoric ocean.
