Two-time Mysuru MP and former Karnataka minister CH Vijayashankar was sworn in as the Governor of Meghalaya on Tuesday.
The oath-taking ceremony was administered by Meghalaya High Court Chief Justice S Vaidyanathan at the Durbar Hall of Raj Bhavan.
The oath-taking ceremony was also attended by Chief Minister Conrad K Sangma and cabinet ministers, besides other invitees.
Vijayashankar, 67, a former Karnataka minister, was recently appointed Meghalaya governor by President Droupadi Murmu.
Vijayashankar sacked Phagu Chauhan as governor of the northeastern state.
