Kamala Harris ignores humanity's dependence on oil just as she ignores these two basic facts [emphasis, links added]:
(1) No one uses crude oil in its raw form. “Big Oil” only exists because of humanity's addiction to petroleum products and fuels.
(2) “Renewable energy sources” are only used to generate occasional electricity; they cannot produce products or fuel.
Kamala hopes for a world dominated by wind turbines and solar panels that occasionally generate electricity whenever the wind blows or the sun shines. Nothing can be “electrified” because nothing requires electricity.
Kamala doesn't understand this Everything that requires electricity is made from petrochemicals made from crude oil, coal or natural gasfrom light bulbs to iPhones, defibrillators, computers, spaceships and medicines.
The big picture in the room that Harris declined to discuss Crude oil is the basis of our physical society because it is the basis for all the products and fuels needed by 8 billion people on the planet.
Eliminating crude oil from the world would take us back to the 1800s until we find alternatives to produce the petroleum derivatives currently made from crude oil.
