Karnataka Chief Minister Siddaramaiah on Saturday announced that his government will build 100 houses for the victims of the Wayanad landslide.
Posting “X” on social media, Siddaramaiah said Karnataka stands with Kerala in view of the tragic landslide in Wayanad.
“I have assured CM Shri @pinarayivijayan of our support and announced that 100 houses will be built in Karnataka for the victims. Together we will rebuild and restore hope.

“Your commitment to build 100 houses for the victims of the tragic landslides is an important step towards recovery efforts. Indian compassion and solidarity is the strength Wayanad needs right now,” he added .
Gandhi and his sister Priyanka Gandhi Vadra on Thursday visited the landslide-affected areas of Cholarmala in Wayanad.
Vadra also thanked Karnataka Chief Minister Siddaramaiah for his gesture.
“Thank you @siddaramaiah Ji and the people of Karnataka for your act of compassion and humanity,” she posted on 'X'.

About 300 people are suspected of being missing and rescuers are battling harsh conditions, including waterlogged soil, as they search through destroyed homes and buildings.
