Border Security Force (BSF) director general Nitin Agarwal has been sacked due to serious differences with his subordinates, government sources said.

“The BSF director general was not sacked for any operational reasons or professional incompetence. There were serious differences between him and his juniors in senior positions. “The BSF is deployed at key locations and when top brass fights with each other, things get ugly. The situation has reached a point where it's my force versus yours. The government is clear on this issue. Discipline and disagreement are unacceptable. will be tolerated.
“Senior government officials were informed and a proposal to repatriate DG BSF was made on July 30,” they said.
MHA's serious attitude
MHA is known for its no-nonsense approach. Earlier, Union Home Minister LC Goel was sacked along with Additional Secretary (Home). Sources said this was also done overnight after Defense Minister Rajnath Singh wrote the papers and both were transferred.
Agarwal took charge as the Border Security Force chief in June last year, while Khurania, as Special Director General (West), was responsible for leading the formation of the force along the Pakistan border.
Agarwal was deported two years before his term ended. “The Cabinet Appointments Committee has approved the proposal of the Ministry of Home Affairs for the early repatriation of Nitin Agarwal, IPS KL (89), DG, BSF, to his parent cadre with immediate effect,” the order said.
According to separate orders issued by the Appointments Committee of the Cabinet (ACC), Agarwal, a 1989-cadre officer from Kerala, and Khurania, a 1990-cadre officer from Odisha, have been deported “early” and ” Effective immediately” . Although Khuranya's proposal came on July 25 as the Odisha government requested him for the DGP post, they sent Amrit Mohan Prasad from Odisha (Amrit Mohan Prasad) as central representative.
