A third-year student in Kerala has written a heartfelt letter to the Indian Army, inspired by its relief efforts after the devastating landslide in Wayanad. The letter written by “Master Rayan” emphasized the child's desire to one day join the armed forces.
Over 300 people were killed and many injured as disaster struck Wayanad in the pre-dawn hours on Tuesday after days of torrential rains in the southern state. Rayan, a student at a private school, said in the letter that he was proud to witness the Army's efforts to rescue people trapped under the rubble.

“Eager to join the Indian Army”
“Dear Indian Army, My beloved Wayanad suffered a massive landslide that caused havoc and destruction. I feel proud and happy to see you rescuing people trapped under the rubble. “I just saw this The sight of you eating biscuits while building a bridge deeply moved me and I longed to join the Indian Army one day and protect my country,” he added.
The landslide in Wayanad, known for its picturesque tea plantations, was the worst since catastrophic floods in 2018 that killed about 400 people. Layan mentioned that he was deeply moved when he saw a video of soldiers eating cookies to make ends meet while building a bridge. “I aspire to join the Indian Army one day and protect my country,” he added.
The Indian Army responded to Rayan's letter and thanked him for his inspiring words. “We are deeply moved by your heartfelt words.
