The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued an orange alert for Uttarakhand, Uttar Pradesh, Madhya Pradesh, Gujarat, Saurashtra and Kutch.
Himachal Pradesh has issued a yellow alert till August 7.
Heavy rains lashed most parts of the country on Saturday, especially West Bengal Ganga and Jharkhand. On the other hand, rescue operations are continuing in Wayanad, a mountain town in Kerala where a landslide on July 30 killed more than 300 people.
