No rain is expected Monday after a stormy weekend in the Baltimore metro area, but more showers are expected Tuesday afternoon.
The break should be a welcome break after a storm knocked down trees and once again turned the Artscape weekend into chaos. Baltimore Gas and Electric Co. still had more than 7,000 customers without power Monday morning due to outages, a decrease of about 10,000 since Sunday night. The utility said it expected the “vast majority” of outages to be resolved by 11 a.m. Monday.
Temperatures in Baltimore's Inner Harbor are expected to reach 95 degrees Monday afternoon, according to the National Weather Service.
Tuesday is expected to start sunny, with a high near 94 degrees and a heat index above 100, with a chance of showers and thunderstorms after 2 p.m. Three inches at night.
The rest of the week is also expected to be wet, but temperatures may drop. Temperatures are only expected to reach 83 degrees on Wednesday and Thursday, while Friday should hit 87 degrees.
