Amrit Udyan is spread over 15 acres in Rashtrapati Bhavan – the office and official residence of the President of India
The iconic Amrit Udyan at the Presidential Palace will be open to the public from August 16 to September 15, the Presidential Palace said on Tuesday.
Free shuttle service from Central Secretariat Metro Station to Gate No. 2, No. 35 (Udyan Entrance) will also be opened for the convenience of tourists, according to an official statement.
Amrit Udyan is spread over 15 acres and is located at Rashtrapati Bhavan, the office and official residence of the President of India.
Originally it included the East Lawn, Central Lawn, Long Garden and Ring Garden. During the tenure of former presidents Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam and Ram Nath Kovind, more gardens were developed namely Herbal-I, Herbal-II, Tactile Garden, Bonsai Garden and Arogya Vanam.

“Amrit Udyan will remain open to the public from August 16 to September 15, 2024, from 10 am to 6 pm (last admission at 5:15 pm),” the statement read.
August 29 is reserved exclusively for athletes for the first time to commemorate the National Games. Like last year, September 5th is Teachers’ Day.
Amrit Udyan will be closed every Monday for maintenance.
The public enters through Gate 2. 35 Presidential Palace, near North Avenue.
Booking slots and entering Udyan are free. Reservations can be made online on the Rashtrapati Bhavan website (https://visit.rashtrapatibhavan.gov.in/) or through the self-service kiosk outside Gate No. 7. 35 is “walk-in visitor”.
One can visit Rashtrapati Bhavan and Rashtrapati Bhavan Museum, watch the Changing of the Guard Ceremony in New Delhi, visit Rashtrapati Bhavan Niwas Mashobra in Shimla and Hyderabad through online booking (https://visit.rashtrapatibhavan.gov) Nilayam, the Presidential Palace of India.
During the opening of Amrit Udyan Summer Almanac 2024, school children can enter Rashtrapati Bhavan Museum for free.
Athletes and teachers can also visit the museum for free on their dedicated days (August 29 and September 5, 2024, respectively).
