Ganesh Utsav is coming up and everyone knows the pomp and pageantry of the celebration in Maharashtra. It is often found that people who want to travel to the state during this period to attend the festivities or migrants who want to return to their home states are unable to do so due to peak train bookings.
To ease the process, Central Railway has decided to launch 'Ganpati Special Trains' from many cities in Maharashtra for the convenience of passengers. The trains will be available for booking from Wednesday, with now increased certainty of getting confirmed tickets.
The Central Railway CPRO announced that in addition to the 202 announced Ganpati special train services, it has decided to start 20 more Ganpati special train services.
