Sadhguru said India had a responsibility to protect Bangladesh's minority Hindu population.
Sadhguru condemned the attacks on Hindus during the Bengal riots and said these incidents cannot be considered merely an internal issue of the neighboring country.
The spiritual leader's statement on Wednesday came in response to violence against Hindu homes, businesses and temples during recent protests in Bangladesh.
Regarding 'X', Sadhguru stressed that India has a responsibility to stand up against these atrocities and protect minority communities.
“Atrocities against Hindus are not just an internal issue of Bengal. If we don’t stand up and take action soon to ensure the safety of minorities in our community, there will be no way for Mahabharat to be Mahabharat.

“It is unfortunate that a part of this country has become a neighbor, but it is our responsibility to protect these people who are actually part of this civilization from these shocking atrocities,” Sadhguru wrote.
Hundreds of Hindu homes, businesses and temples have been vandalized since Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina stepped down, according to media reports. Hindus make up about 8% of Bangladesh's 170 million people.
