Elections for 12 vacant federal house seats in nine states will be held on September 3, the Election Commission said on Wednesday.
With current members such as Union Ministers Piyush Goyal, Sarbananda Sonowal and Jyotiraditya Scindia being elected to the Lok Sabha, Ten federal parliamentary seats are vacant.
The committee said that notification of the Federal Council election will be issued on August 14, and the last date for submitting voting documents is August 21.
Separate elections for each federal parliamentary seat will be held on September 3, with results announced on the same day.
