    Federal Minister Giriraj Singh accuses Rahul Gandhi of having 'napak' ties with Pakistan after Pakistan embassy reports on mangoes, triggering political row

    The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) on Wednesday accused Rahul Gandhi and other Congress leaders of having “napak” (impure) ties with Pakistan after reports emerged that the Islamabad embassy sent mangoes to Gandhi and other Lok Sabha MPs.

    “Some time ago, Rahul Gandhi said that he did not like mangoes from Uttar Pradesh. Now, the Pakistan embassy has sent mangoes to him. He should clarify what else he likes. Has he gone to Pakistan to seek help in ousting Modi? Union Minister Giri Giriraj Singh said targeting the Leader of Opposition (LoP).

    Singh said Gandhi's recent criticism of Prime Minister Narendra Modi was an attempt to seek Pakistan's support in overthrowing the current NDA government. He further questioned, “Rahul Gandhi should tell him if he went to Pakistan to raise any demand to overthrow Modi.” The LoP is yet to respond to the controversy.

    “Don’t like UP Mango”

    “In Bangladesh, Pakistan-backed Jamaat-e-Islami terrorists are burning Hindu houses and temples while Rahul Gandhi, Shashi Tharoor, Sibal, Iqra Chaudhry, Mohibra Na Devi, Zia Balk, Afzal Ansari are here eating mangoes sent by Pakistan,” the federal minister wrote on social media platform X.

    “They don't like mangoes from Uttar Pradesh and they don't hear the suffering of Bengali Hindus,” he added. BJP MP Anurag Thakur also weighed in, saying, “They (Congress leaders) receive mangoes from the depths of their hearts. He doesn't like mangoes in Uttar Pradesh, But seems excited about Pakistani mangoes.

    BJP IT chief Amit Malviya took to social media to attack Rahul Gandhi and other Congress leaders. He said: “Why did the Pakistan High Commission send mango boxes to these seven Indian parliamentarians? Rahul Gandhi, Kapil Sibal, Shashi Tharoor, Mohibullah Nadvi, Qi Ya-ur-Rehman, Bargh Afzal Ansari and Iqra Hasan. He wrote in Hindi on X that some people can also be identified by who gives them mangoes. .
