Launching a scathing attack on Karnataka Chief Minister Siddaramaiah, former chief minister and senior BJP leader BS Yediyurappa on Saturday said he will fight till his last breath to remain in politics , and ensured that the former was ousted from power by the people of the state.
Addressing a public rally in Mysuru, former Prime Minister Yeddyurappa lashed out at Siddaramaiah and said: “Chief Minister Siddaramaiah asked me to retire from public life. Before I breathed my last, I will get involved in politics and ensure that you (CM Siddaramaiah) step down. Is there any instance in the history of the state where a chief minister got 14 plots of land for his family? Whose money will it be, he claimed?
Chief Minister Siddaramaiah claimed that there was not a single corruption case against him. This is an example, he said.
He added that Deputy Chief Minister DK Shivakumar has declared support for CM Siddaramaiah.
“Shivakumar's sins have run rampant. You don't know what will happen to you (CM Siddaramaiah) and you don't know when it will happen.” and Opposition leader R. Ashoka should take better care of his future,” Yediyurappa said.
“BJP and JD(S) are moving forward together. People will send you (Siddaramaiah) home soon.
“I will raise a challenge. Will you dissolve the government now and face elections? The BJP and JD(S) will win and get a majority in 130 to 140 seats in the state,” he added.
“There are open lootings and broad daylight looting in the state. The people are becoming increasingly wary of your government. There is no trace of any development project in the state. The government has become impoverished. Not even a kilometer of road is paved. The minister and Corruption is rampant among deputy ministers who are incompetent to run the state's administration.
“I am an 82-year-old man and I will tour across the state and then send you (CM Siddaramaiah) home. Will end the corruption of the Congress government and its tyranny.
“The Prime Minister and Deputy Prime Minister have also criticized PM Modi. However, former Prime Minister HD and JD(S) supremo HD Deve Gowda respected him and discussed bringing changes in the country. People need to bless the BJP and JD(S) and Let them take power,” Yediyurappa said.
