The Congress on Saturday expressed concern over reports of targeted attacks on ethnic minorities and their places of worship in Bangladesh and hoped that the interim government of Bangladesh would take strong measures to ensure that they continue to live in an atmosphere of security, dignity and harmony.

While extending his best wishes to Yunus on Thursday, Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi expressed hope for an early return to normalcy and stressed on ensuring the safety of the country's Hindu and other minority communities.
