Villagers expressed their frustration in interviews with the media, noting that the bridge was built over a dry river and only caused problems during the rainy season. The scheme was intended to provide connectivity during the monsoon, but it failed to achieve its intended purpose as there was no road access.
One resident commented: “We are very happy that the bridge has been built. There is no road in our village, so we thought they would also build roads and bridges. But nothing like this happened.
Another resident added: “Initially, the landowner agreed to hand over the land, but later he disagreed and demanded money.”
Responding to the issue, Araria District Magistrate Inayat Khan said, “This matter has come to my attention. A report has been sought from the Executive Engineer in this regard. Meanwhile, the Divisional Officer, Circle Officer and Concerned Engineer have been asked to visit the site and the area.
