Under the 'Mukhyamantri Majhi Ladki Bahin' scheme, married, divorced and poor women aged 21-60 will receive Rs 1,500 per month.
Maharashtra Deputy Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis said on Sunday that the Maharashtra government will announce the “results for July and this month” on August 17. Ladki Bahin” installments are deposited into the beneficiary’s account.
Addressing a meeting of BJP workers in Akola, he said the newly launched scheme has received huge response in the state and 150 million women have registered so far.
Under the “Mukhyamantri Majhi Ladki Bahin” scheme, married, divorced and poor women aged 21-60 will receive Rs 1,500 per month, subject to the annual household income limit of the beneficiary being Rs 2.5 lakh.
He said the installments for July and August will be deposited into the accounts of beneficiaries on August 17.
According to the Deputy Minister, the government is working towards providing six-month apprenticeship training under the “Mukhya Mantri Yuva Karyaprashikshan Yojana” to one million (10 lakh) unemployed youth in the state.
Fadnavis said the government has produced 12,000 MW of solar energy in the past year and a half. He added that farmers would get free power as solar power would not impose a financial burden on the government.
In the state budget presented in June, months ahead of the assembly elections, the Maharashtra government announced a slew of populist measures targeting women, unemployed youth, farmers and families.
