Amarnath Yatra trains on the Baltal route were suspended following heavy rains on Sunday, officials said.
At this point, pilgrims paused on both routes. The Pahalgam route was closed on Wednesday due to maintenance work.
Kashmir district commissioner VK Bhiduri said heavy rains lashed the Pahalgam and Baltal routes of the Amarnath Yatra on Sunday.
“Due to heavy rain, the Baltal axis of the Amarnath temple requires urgent repair and maintenance work. For the safety of the yatri, departures from the Baltal route will not be allowed tomorrow either.
He added that further updates would be released in due course.
So far this year, more than 510,000 pilgrims have paid homage to Lord Shiva at the 3,880-meter-high cave shrine.
Amarnath Yatra started on June 29 and will end on August 19.
