Protests by junior doctors continued for a fourth day on Monday, demanding swift punishment for those responsible.
Congress leader Priyanka Gandhi Vadra on Monday urged the Mamata Banerjee-led TMC government in West Bengal to take strict action to ensure that RG Kar Medical College in Kolkata and Justice has been sought in the case of a female hospital doctor accused of rape and murder.
The body of a female graduate student who was allegedly raped and murdered in a hospital seminar hall was found on Friday morning. A citizen volunteer was arrested on Saturday.

Banerjee also said she hoped the case would be heard in a fast-track court.
