The BJP smells a “Congress conspiracy”, with government officials suspecting a conspiracy to affect the Indian stock market after the Hindenburg report leveled allegations against Securities and Exchange Board of India chairman Madhabi Puri Buch and her husband .

The BJP leader pointed out that Congress leaders were quick to demand a joint parliamentary inquiry into the issue in less than two hours after the report was released. Congress has also demanded the resignation of the SEBI chief, who has six months left in her term and is eligible for re-election as per the rules. One official said Sunday's fast-paced developments were clearly part of a “concerted conspiracy” to disrupt the stock market as it opened on Monday, and that “short seller” Hindenburg already had questionable intentions.

Indian stock markets have been on a fantastic run of late. Apparently SEBI recognized the “intent” of the Hindenburg report released on Sunday, issuing a statement in the evening saying “Investors should remain calm and conduct due diligence before reacting to such reports… Readers may also note the disclaimer included in the report.” The report states that readers should assume that Hindenburg Research may have a short position in securities covered by the report.

A BJP leader told News18 that he would not be surprised if the Congress also asks the Supreme Court to re-hear the case, claiming that SEBI is discredited. “The SEBI chief has put all the facts out in the public domain, exposing the report as full of malicious lies. Every point has been refuted. But the close connection is obvious – Hindenburg will release the concocted sensational facts, the Congress will Providing fuel in the courts and political rhetoric,” the BJP leader said.

    political war

Opposition leader Rahul Gandhi questioned SEBI's integrity and demanded Buch's resignation. “In view of the very serious allegations that have emerged, will the Supreme Court look into the matter again?” Gandhi asked. The Congress party in an official statement said that only the JPC can get to the bottom of the matter and demanded the same.

The BJP, however, is targeting the grand old party to push Hindenburg's agenda. “The BJP is now openly fomenting and spreading doubts about the authenticity of the Indian stock market. This blatant act of undermining confidence in our economy exposes Gandhi's true intentions, which is nothing more than It is to destroy India. ” He called the Hindenburg report a “moist squib.”
