    40 kilograms of sting rays auctioned for Rs 100,000 in Digha, Bangladesh

    The fish are caught in trawlers from Odisha.

    The fish auction center at the Digha estuary in West Bengal is once again making headlines for its impressive catch, which is not uncommon there. According to Local18, fishermen in the area caught another huge fish, but it was not an anchovy, Telia Bhola or Kai Bhola fish.

    The fishermen catch the sanka fish or stingray, which generates great interest and buzz among the locals and locals. According to further reports, the fish weighed about 40 kilograms when the fishermen took it to the Digha Estuary Fish Auction Center.

    No shad are caught in the area, but other types of marine fish are found in the Tiga Sea. These include fish species such as Telia Bhola and Koi Vala, which bring immense joy to the fishermen. In addition to this, they also gave away a 40kg stingray for sale.

    Additional information about the fish caught revealed that the fish were brought in trawlers from Odisha. It found its way to the Tiga Estuary Fish Auction Centre. As soon as it was discovered, there was a craze in the center. Tourists and locals alike flock here to catch a glimpse of the animal. Despite its size, the auction prices are not high; prices remain below Rs 1 lakh. Trappers, fishermen and buyers are all ecstatic about the sankar, not caring about how much money it brings.

    The stingray is a cartilaginous fish known for its unique pectoral fins, which are used for locomotion. It can usually be found in tropical or temperate waters. According to the data, skates or whiptail rays are found in all oceans and South American rivers.
