They said train services will run at a frequency of 15 minutes on all lines until 6am on Thursday, after which the normal timetable will be followed for the rest of the day.
“In addition, persons holding authentic invitation cards issued by the Department of Defense to attend Independence Day ceremonies will be allowed to enter and travel by presenting valid government-issued photo ID at the station.

“This arrangement is only applicable at the exits of Lal Quila, Jama Masjid and Chandni Chowk metro stations, which are nearest to the venue. The same invitation card is also applicable only for return journeys from these three stations.
Announcements will be made regularly in trains informing passengers of these arrangements, Dayal said, adding that the cost of such travel will be reimbursed by the defense ministry to DMRC.
