    In Bengal, a devotee of Lord Shiva carries water on one shoulder and his daughter on the other

    The man was seen carrying water and his daughter on his shoulders, heading towards the Baba Talaknath temple in Talakeshwar.

    The mythological story of Rishi Shravan is known to many. In the story, Rishi Shravan, the son of a blind saint, takes his elderly parents on a pilgrimage with a basket on their shoulders. The story was recalled while a man was traveling to Talakeshwar city in West Bengal with his young daughter on his shoulders.

    The month of Saavan is considered very auspicious for devotees of Lord Shiva. Every year thousands of people walk to the Baba Taraknath Temple Tarakeswar to pour water on the head of Lord Shiva. This is one of the most famous pilgrimage places in West Bengal. One of the men, carrying water on one shoulder and his daughter on the other, made headlines.

    The tradition of drinking water from Lord Shiva in Tarekeshwar during the month of Saavan dates back to ancient times. Pilgrims from across the state carry baskets on their shoulders to offer water to Lord Shiva. On Monday, August 12, a pilgrim named Rabin Adhikari was seen heading to the temple with his children to fulfill his vows. According to reports, he is a resident of Chandan Nagar. He mentioned that he fetched water from Sheoraphuli and was preparing to walk to the temple. He was accompanied by his wife and other family members.

    When asked why he did this, Rabin told Local 18: “I made a vow to God last year for my children, and that's why I took my daughter to the temple. No matter how difficult that path is for me Difficulties, I will try my best to complete it. Bole Baba will take care of other matters. According to reports, they are expected to arrive at the Tarekswar temple.

    One of his family members, Rinki Adhikari, was also seen heading to the Mahadev temple with her daughter on her lap. When asked how she felt, she said she was very excited to complete this sacred journey.
