DDA to launch 1,500 apartments under three schemes on the occasion of Rakshabandhan (representative picture)

This Rakshabandhan event will be very special for the residents of the National Capital Region of Delhi. Because the dream of the people of Delhi to buy their own houses may come true. The Delhi Development Authority (DDA) will launch 15,000 flats through three schemes on the day of Rakshabandhan on August 19.
The scheme aims to provide 15,000 apartments at different locations in Delhi to cater to a wide range of income groups. The first scheme, called DDA Sasta Ghar Housing Scheme, targets Low-Income Groups (LIG) and Economically Weak Sections (EWS). Prices for such apartments start at Rs 11.50 lakh.
These affordable homes will be located in Ramgarh Colony, Sirsapur, Rohini, Loknayak Puram and Narela. Allocation to the scheme will be on a first-come, first-served basis and one of the schemes will be e-auctioned.
Middle class housing plan:
The second scheme is designed for middle-class families and offers a range of housing options including High Income Group (HIG), Middle Income Group (MIG), LIG and EWS apartments. The properties will be sold in Jasona, Loknayakpuram and Narela with prices starting from Rs 29 lakh. The program also operates on a “first come, first served” basis.
Quality Housing Project:
The third scheme introduces a higher-end segment, with apartment prices starting from Rs 1 crore to Rs 28 lakh. The scheme will use an electronic auction process, allowing potential buyers to place bids. The properties available include MIG, HIG and premium apartments located in different areas of Dwarka 14, 16B and 19B.
The application process for the affordable housing and middle-class schemes will begin immediately on August 19, while the e-auction for the premium schemes will follow a separate schedule. The launch is expected to provide a significant opportunity for home ownership to many residents of the National Capital Region of Delhi, in keeping with the festive spirit of Rakshabandhan.
