Chief Minister MK Starling said he has ordered the authorities to provide a solitary payment of Rs 3 lakh to the families of each of the deceased and Rs 50,000 to the injured workers who are undergoing treatment.
After an explosion occurred at a nearby pyrotechnics factory on Wednesday, killing two workers on the spot, Chief Minister MK Starling announced a pension of Rs 3 lakh to the relatives of each of the deceased.
The dead workers were identified as G Pullakutti, 65, and J Karthik Easwaran, 35, while two others – S Bose (35) and P Manikandan (31) – were injured and admitted to Sivakasi Government Hospital.
Stalin expressed his grief and condolences to the families of the victims. In an official press release, the Chief Minister said that he has ordered the authorities to provide a pension of Rs 3 lakh to the relatives of each deceased and Rs 50,000 to the injured workers who are undergoing treatment. Financial assistance will be provided from the Chief Minister’s Public Relief Fund.
