    According to the police, a large amount of drugs and other items worth over Rs 1 crore were seized from the possession of the accused

    A Nigerian national who came to India on a sports visa to play football and later became a drug peddler was arrested by Hyderabad police in a joint operation with the Telangana Anti-Narcotics Bureau (TN AGB) in Banjara Hills on Wednesday. Ofozor Sunday Ejike, also known as Frank, is a chemical engineer from Nigeria.

    Two other vendors, Anas Khan, 31, of Rajendra Nagar and his brother Saif Khan, 27, were also arrested in the operation. According to police, a large amount of drugs and other items worth over Rs 1 crore were recovered from the possession of the accused.

    according to a toy Reports said Frank, Anas and Saif were all drug addicts and used to buy different types of drugs from Nigerians living in Bengaluru and supply them directly to hawkers, their agents and consumers. Hyderabad Police Commissioner K Sreenivasa Reddy said they only accept cash payments to avoid getting caught.

    TG Drug Enforcement Administration officials conducted an assessment of private drug treatment centers in the state. Recently, 26 de-addiction centers with 10 beds each were opened in Telangana government hospitals. Tennessee AGB officials stressed the importance of early identification of youth use of tobacco, alcohol and marijuana.
