Addressing the nation from the ramparts of the Red Fort on the 78th Independence Day, Prime Minister Modi said, “This year and in the past few years, we have become more worried due to natural disasters.” Himachal Pradesh, Uttarakhand Monsoon rains and floods in several states including Assam, Maharashtra, Uttar Pradesh, Bihar and Delhi claimed many lives and destroyed public and private properties.
