The New York Times recently published a lengthy report warning that Earth’s climate tipping point is approaching. Journalists say that “nature's great systems may be heading toward collapse” due to humanity's use of fossil fuels. [emphasis, links added]
Maybe so. Or the climate changes we're seeing could be entirely natural.
But that won’t sell the paper to readers who suffer from chronic confirmation bias and are intellectually retarded.
The Times wants us to worry about the mass death of coral reefs, the sudden melting of permafrost, the collapse of Greenland ice, the breakup of West Antarctica's ice, the sudden shift in the West African monsoon, the disappearance of the Amazon rainforest and the shutdown of Atlantic ocean currents.
And when will these hot spots experience disaster? The Times said it depends on many variables and in some cases the timeline is “difficult to predict”.
Or maybe it's not possible. But again, stories told from this perspective are not going to stir up true believers who are begging to be stirred up. Only alarmist articles would do this.
We’ve chosen the mighty New York Times here, but legacy media is more than happy to spread misleading information and speculation about climate.
The only truth we can know about the claim of man-made global warming is that it is “political, not physical and scientific.”
As retired MIT meteorology professor Richard Lindzen points out, the shift from choosing carbon dioxide as the villain because it was a convenient “leverage point” for “controlling society” to casting skepticism Efforts to discredit deniers as “deniers” The entire global warming enterprise is a Trojan horse, dragged into society by fanatics who are more than willing to lie about “the science” in order to advance their anti-capitalist, illiberal political agenda.
Fanatics have no evidence to support any of their arguments, but they are full of speculation and driven by jealousy, anger, social ambition, and mental illness that manifests itself clearly in extremism.
What will the fanatics say. While they were barking and wailing, the truth had no chance of putting on its pants.
They tell us that storms, even low-intensity ones, are a product of man-made climate change. We saw this with Cyclone Berrier last month, which all the right people attributed to human-caused warming.
Whenever glaciers recede or Antarctica loses ice, they say our use of fossil fuels is the cause. The screams about oil and gas turn to 11 when someone incorrectly counts polar bears.
Name any event found in nature—wildfires, droughts, floods, heavy rain and snow, rising sea levels, crop losses, famine, disease, All of this has credible alternative explanations, and this was all before humans discovered that crude oil is the key to modernity – They will accuse humanity as if humanity is a criminal syndicate bent on destruction.
Fanatics have no evidence to support any of their arguments, but they are full of speculation and driven by jealousy, anger, social ambition, and mental illness that manifests itself clearly in extremism.
There are remedies, but getting these people to accept the overwhelming truth is not an easy task. It will be easier to sand the back of the bobcat.
