Bharatiya Janata Party national spokesperson Gaurav Bhatia on Friday termed Bloc leaders as “political vultures” who take advantage of political convenience to speak out about crimes against women.
Bhatia was addressing a press conference at the BJP state office against West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee over the rape and murder of a junior doctor at a Kolkata hospital.
Bhatia calls Rahul Gandhi, Sonia Gandhi, Priyanka Gandhi, Akhilesh Yadav, Manish Sisodia, Uddhav Thackeray and India Other leaders of the group branded themselves “political vultures” and said they should rise above vote bank politics and “break their silence” on such heinous crimes.
“This silence will cost the INDI coalition dearly. These people are not politicians or public leaders, they are political vultures who only speak out about crimes against sisters and daughters after seeing which state government is there,” he explain.
Bhatia claimed that law and order had broken down in West Bengal.
“Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee for failing to ensure the safety of women should resign,” he said, adding, “The BJP will not tolerate injustice against women.” Bhatia further said, “Now The case has been referred to the Central Bureau of Investigation. Soon, all the guilty will be punished with the harshest punishment, no matter how big the leaders are to protect them, all the accused will not be spared.
“The incident in West Bengal has completely shaken the entire country. On one hand, the country is angry and agitated by the incident, on the other hand, the TMC goons are trying to destroy evidence by attacking people peacefully protesting for justice. Bhatia said Raghu Gandhi and Akhilesh Yadav are “walking around” with a constitution in their hands but they are not raising their voice on such crimes in the country and they are “killing the soul of the same constitution”.
