The complainant's financial firm recently approached the court seeking action against the accused, following which the court directed investigators to investigate the allegations.
According to the police, Ravi and a co-accused had approached the financial company, claiming that they were board members of the private security group “Thunder Force Ltd”, and promised that they would provide security and collect those who failed to repay their loans. Details of the organization.
They also allegedly accepted a proposed service fee of Rs 12,000 from the complaint.
However, they said the defendants neither provided services nor refunded the money.
Major Ravi and his co-accused were booked on cheating-related charges.
Major Ravi, who has directed several films after his retirement from the Indian Army, including those starring Mohanlal and Mammootty, is yet to react to the registration of the case.
