A 34-year-old neurosurgeon at AIIMS allegedly committed suicide at his south Delhi home on Sunday, police said.
Raj Ghoniya, a resident of Rajkot in Gujarat, died of a suspected drug overdose as used vials and syringes were found at his house in Gautam Nagar area, police said.
A suicide note was also found at the scene, but Gonya did not blame anyone in it, they added.
Around 2 pm on Sunday, Hauz Khas police station received a PCR call that a doctor in Gautam Nagar area had committed suicide. When police arrived at the scene, they found Gonya unconscious.
Gonia was rushed to All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) where he was declared brought dead.
He was sent to AIIMS Trauma Centre.
