A passenger on a local train in Mumbai on Friday physically assaulted a traveling ticket examiner (TTE) after he was fined for traveling in an air-conditioned coach without a valid ticket.

A video of the incident shows Bhosal and other passengers fighting with Singh, who was reportedly injured in the altercation and had his shirt torn. In addition, Singh also lost Rs 1,500, which was the fine he collected from other passengers.

The quarrel led to the train stopping at Borivali station. Despite being asked to leave the train, Bhosale refused until he was eventually picked up by Railway Protection Force (RPF) personnel at Narasopara station.
Bhosale later issued a written apology, admitting his mistake and expressing concern about the potential impact of the FIR on his work. He also reimbursed Singh 1,500 rupees lost during the riots.
