Mohali Rural Police Chief Manpreet Singh said that after receiving the bomb threat message, the mall was searched in the afternoon but nothing objectionable was found.
A bomb threat was received at a shopping mall in Kalal, Punjab, on the outskirts of Chandigarh, prompting its evacuation, but police later said nothing objectionable was found during inspections.
Mohali Rural Police Superintendent Manpreet Singh said that after receiving information about the bomb threat, the mall was searched in the afternoon but nothing objectionable was found.
Singer said mall management received the email and notified police.
He said bomb disposal and anti-sabotage squads and sniffer dogs were dispatched to the scene and the mall was evacuated.
“We conducted a thorough search of VR Mall but found nothing suspicious,” he said.
He said the investigation is ongoing.
